My Papa’s Castle

I wonder why my castle burns,
Tall it stood; other’s envy reigned;
Papa built it from the dust,
Tales that float, lores that lume!

I wonder why my castle burns,
Papa’s soul mates guard its tall gates;
Papa dreamed of building big,
Sentinels strived on building high.

I wonder why my castle burns,
Friends I know, my sentinels died;
Papa’s soul mates knew no harm,
“Dying Sentinels, we’ll get them more!”

I wonder why my castle burned,
Papa’s soul mates knew more kings;
Now I walk my sentinels’ way,
They’ll make Papa’s castle new!
